ABSTRACT

This paper deals with a black box model of the germination of Plasmopara Viticola oospores. The model was formulated by applying a fuzzy-neural method which infers the process dynamics directly from the experimental data. The model could be usefully exploited to approximate the inoculum potential of the pathogen at the beginning of the epidemic process.
