The Mortar Wavelet Method

This paper deals with the construction of wavelet approximation
spaces, in the framework of the Mortar method.
We briefly describe the construction of a class of
MultiResolution Analyses which are well suited for application by the
Mortar method approach, and then we sketch the Mortar Wavelet method
for the Laplace-Dirichlet
problem for which we give an error estimate.
Numerical tests show the feasibility of the
method proposed.
